The Terra Thiva -Thivaiki Gi  winery has been active in the production of bottled wine since 2005. On the picturesque slopes of the Fikio Mountain (Sphinx), a few kilometers outside of Thebes town, near the village of Vagia, the carefully cultivated vineyards offer grapes of excellent quality for the production of its wines.

 In its small but modern winery, "Terra Thiva" creates wines with dedication and a passion for excellence, bringing to life a distinctive range of products that are loved by lovers of good wine.

 The mission of "Terra Thiva winery" is to promote and showcase the unique characteristics of the region of Thebes, through the production of exceptional products "from their land". This philosophy reflects the joint effort of Panos and Sotiria Katrisiosis, who have created a model vineyard on a privately owned 170-acre plot in Vagia of Viotia.

The vineyard hosts the indigenous white varieties Assyrtiko, Malagousia and the international Sauvignon Blanc. The fine red Muhtaro as well as the cosmopolitan red varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The unique terroir of the region, combined with the care given to the cultivation, ensures every year excellent quality and proper ripening of the grapes.

 

 At the winery of Panos and Sotiria Katrisiosis, traditional techniques are married with modern technology, with respect to the particular characteristics of each variety. The result is award-winning wines that reflect not only the philosophy and passion of their creators, but also the authentic "soul" and "character" of the region of Thebes.

The vision of Panos and Sotiria Katrisiosis is to create fine wines that transcend the borders of Greece, winning the markets of Europe, Asia and the United States, and proving that Greek winemaking can stand out internationally. 

The tradition of the Katrisiosis family in viticulture and wine production dates back to the 1930s. 

 

 

 Panos Katrisiosis, a member of the fourth generation of viticulturists, after completing his studies at the American Agricultural School, was initiated into the art of viticulture, aiming to introduce innovative techniques. In this way, he and his wife Sotiria laid the foundations for the creation of a modern winery.

 The Katrisiosis family combines modern production methods with respect for tradition. By keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field of oenology, they ensure the production of high quality wines that satisfy even the most demanding winelovers.

The ultra-modern facilities of the winery "Terra Thiva " are located a short distance from the privately owned vineyards, ensuring the direct transport of the grapes after harvest.

 

 

The winery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as wine making machines, grape picking, pneumatic press, cooled stainless steel tanks and a cellar with oak barrels.

In the air-conditioned cellar, the wines mature under ideal conditions, keeping their aromatic and flavor characteristics unaltered.

 Our privately owned vineyards of 170 acres are located at the foot of Fikio mountain. The fine Greek varieties Assyrtiko, Malagousia, the international variety Sauvignon Blanc and the unique and indigenous red grape Mouhtaro, as well as the top world class red varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, are cultivated with dedication and passion.
