It is recalled that the first prize at the European ECTN AWARDS 2021 was awarded to the volunteer group "Kimolistes" (AMKE).

The Sustainable Cultural Tourism Destination Awards enhance the visibility of European cultural tourism destinations, create a platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge and promote networking between destinations. The 2021 theme is "Revitalising European Tourism through Culture, Heritage and Creativity". The awards competition was open to tourist destinations across Europe, with the aim of showcasing achievements in sustainable cultural tourism in seven categories.

The winners and runners-up were selected by the jury (composed of representatives of ECTN, the European Travel Commission, Europa Nostra, NECSTouR and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture) from 36 applications received from 14 European countries.
