Guest Patron: Michel Bettane
Michel Bettane, a renowned wine critic and co-author of the Bettane & Desseauve French Wine Guide, was the guest patron for this edition. He expressed his honor at attending the wine tasting in Burgundy, a region he deeply admires.
With a background as a classics professor, Bettane discovered his passion for wine at the Académie du Vin in Paris in 1977. Over his 40-year career, he has traveled extensively, meeting winegrowers, understanding winemaking methods, and sharing his knowledge with professionals and amateurs worldwide. Recognized for his independence, exceptional palate, and deep expertise, he is considered one of the top three wine critics globally.
115th Tastevinage Results
- 155 judges convened at Château du Clos de Vougeot on Friday, March 7th for the event.
- 499 wines from the Greater Burgundy Wine Region (from Chablis to Beaujolais) were presented.
- 158 wines (31.66%) received the Tastevinage Seal of Approval, indicating their authenticity and representation of their appellation and vintage.
