AllwineStories, the exclusive media partner in Greece representing Greek wineries, brings to Italian wine lovers the elegance and heritage of Philos Winery, hailing from the historic wine region of Nemea.

“Philos” in Greek means friend — and like a true friend, it returns to the Greek Wine Day for the second year in a row.

Founded in 1992, Philos Wines is located in Nemea, one of Greece’s most prestigious wine regions, renowned for the Agiorgitiko grape. This small, family-run winery is dedicated to crafting handmade wines with great care, respecting both tradition and the unique character of the land.

The vineyards are planted at various altitudes, allowing each wine to express the distinct nuances of Nemea’s micro-terroirs. Philos specializes in Agiorgitiko, producing complex, elegant red wines rich in aromas and depth. Alongside these, the winery also offers fresh, aromatic white wines made from native grape varieties.

Philos’ approach to winemaking relies on traditional methods, using only indigenous yeasts and no pesticides, in order to showcase the pure, authentic expression of the local varieties.
