Non-alcoholic wines, after having experienced, between 2021 and 2022, the definitive consecration of the markets, are destined, according to the report "No- and Low-Alcohol Strategic Study 2022" by IWSR, to a growth in consumption of 20% per year from now to 2025. A category on which the spotlight and the interest of companies have been lit, especially because to drive their success - in the wine sector as in that of beer and ready-to-drink - is the most difficult and most precious generation to conquer, that of those who are 20-30 years old. Producers such as the historic South Tyrolean winery Hofstätter, which more than a year ago launched its "Steinbock Alcohol Free Sparkling", are aware of this, while the alcohol-free bubbles signed by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue have even arrived on the shelves of Tesco.

A trend that has not gone unnoticed even in Germany, where "zero alcohol" wines play an increasingly important role, also by virtue of greater attention to health and a changed behavior of consumption patterns by the "Z" generation. It is no coincidence, then, that ProWein, the leading trade fair in the world of wine, which returns to Dusseldorf from 19 to 21 March 2023, has decided to dedicate the "World of Zero" to non-alcoholic wines, an important area of Hall 1 that will collect all non-alcoholic products, which in the past were distributed in all the exhibition halls, in the spaces of producers, importers and exporters.

"For our trade visitors from the gastronomy and trade sectors, it will be the ideal platform for comprehensive and, above all, efficient information on this sector," explains Michael Degen, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf. This will make it easier for exhibitors to contact new customers interested in this product category, and visitors will be able to find them more quickly." "World of Zero" is completed by a tasting area, the center of this thematic world. "In ProWein 2023, and in collaboration with the publishing house Meininger, we will offer this new trend the platform it deserves, with professional tastings and editorial expertise from Meininger, but also conferences and round tables," concludes Michael Degen.
