Once a year, at the beginning of the year, a jury of wine experts and seasoned enthusiasts from all over the world meets in Burgundy, at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune to taste a wide range of samples from the Burgundy Franche-Comté and Beaujolais regions.
At the end of this tasting, the Burgondia d'Or and Silver distinctions are then awarded to the best wines.
The winning producers then have the opportunity to affix the medals obtained to their bottles, a guarantee of quality for buyers.
Since the 2022 edition, Franche-Comté wines can be presented at the competition. In addition, we have also opened up the competition to PGIs.

The tasting system was designed and set up by the Concours des Burgondia. It differentiates itself from the vast majority of wine competitions and guarantees optimal results.
Samples are opened on the morning of the competition and served at temperature, in high-end tasting glasses. Each product is tasted by 3 people seated at distant tables. No influence or comments are therefore possible.

Historical
The Burgondia Competition has existed since 1993. Since its inception, the competition has been expanding, with the number of samples submitted increasing steadily each year.

At the beginning of September 2011, Didier Martin took over the full ownership and management of the Concours des Burgondia.
