After a first season enthusiastically received last autumn on Instagram and Facebook (averaging 16,000 views per episode), the web series “Les Astuces Dégust’” is back!

The BurgogneWine Board (BIVB) wanted to continue this mission of demystifying the wine world through six new episodes, available from October 6 on social media.

Still led with humor and creativity by Maxime Dubois, sommelier and Official Burgundy Wines Trainer, this season promises to be even funnier and more engaging, while maintaining its educational tone.
Filmed in both French and English, it targets a curious, connected generation eager to explore the diversity of Burgundy wines in a new light.

 

On the menu this season: fun, tips, and Climats!

The goal remains the same — to talk about wine without pretension, with authenticity, passion, and lightness.
The six episodes are designed to appeal to younger audiences, but anyone can learn while having fun.

Once again, Maxime Dubois, Official Trainer for Burgundy Wines, brings to life several characters with humor and precision.
He also wrote the scripts himself, keeping the tone light but the substance authentically Burgundian.

 

Key Burgundy themes include:

  • The concept of Climat, central to Burgundy’s identity since its UNESCO inscription in 2015
  • Crémant de Bourgogne, celebrating 50 years of bubbles and freshness
  • The four iconic regional grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Gamay)
  • Food and wine pairings to shine at the table — or play with flavors
  • The hierarchy of appellations finally decoded!

 

A fast but intense shoot: 720 shots in 4 days!

Filmed in Beaune from June 30 to July 3, in a guesthouse transformed into a set,
this second season once again draws on the creativity of Bourgogne Live Prod,
a video communications agency that has long collaborated with the BIVB.

An enormous editing effort: in just four days, 720 shots were filmed —
a total of 7 hours and 40 minutes of footage, cut down to just 20–22 minutes!

Maxime Dubois added his signature mix of wit and wine knowledge,
playing multiple characters in sketches that balance pedagogy and self-mockery.
A fun nod for fans of Kaamelott: the episode on Climats may ring a bell!
Beneath the humor and costumes, Maxime shares genuine wine knowledge
to help newcomers feel more comfortable with Burgundy wines.

the Burgundy Wines YouTube channel and LinkedIn.
Later, each episode will appear on a themed page of
www.vins-bourgogne.fr.

Who is Maxime Dubois?

Maxime is a young French sommelier based in Vietnam since 2019.
After studying at Ferrandi Paris and gaining experience in restaurant and wine bar management in Dublin,
he became a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
He has traveled the world meeting winemakers and co-founded a World Wine and Gastronomy Tour.
Perfectly bilingual, he adapts each episode from French and films it himself in English.
