The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum is organizing a Wine Tasting Day on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., in the museum's "G. Anemogiannis" hall of the Museum, as part of the Foundation's anniversary collectible wine competition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the publication of the iconic novel "The Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas."

The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum and thirteen of the most renowned wineries in Crete come together in a creative challenge to capture the personality of Nikos Kazantzakis' iconic hero Alexis Zorbas in a wine: lively, authentic, multidimensional, and unconventional.

The ticket includes a tasting of the winning wine on the day of the tasting, a tasting glass, free admission to the Wine and Culture Festival in Ano Archanes (February 7, 2026), where the name and label of the winning wine will be presented for the first time, as well as a guided tour of the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum with advance booking on the day and time of your choice.
