On the occasion of the 65th Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges Wine Sale, which will be held on Sunday 8 March at 3:00 pm at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the Hospices Civils de Beaune and iDealwine are pleased to announce that the navigator Louis Burton will be the patron of this edition. A recognized figure in French ocean racing, he will represent the Ani'nomade association, beneficiary of this year's Cuvée des Bienfaiteurs.

A sailor involved in the biggest oceanic competitions, Louis Burton has distinguished himself over the years in reference races such as the Vendée Globe, the Transat Jacques-Vabre and the Route du Rhum. During the 2020-2021 edition of the Vendée Globe, he took a remarkable 3rd place, confirming his status among the major skippers of ocean racing.

His career, marked by audacity, perseverance and surpassing oneself, echoes the values carried by the Sale of the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, an emblematic event of Burgundy's heritage.

Louis Burton will represent the Ani'nomade association, beneficiary of the charity piece, known as
the "Cuvée des Bienfaiteurs". Based in the Côte-d'Or region and founded in 2010, this association is a pioneer in the field of animal mediation. It develops actions with a variety of audiences – the elderly, people with disabilities, patients or vulnerable groups – based on the benefits of the link between humans and animals. The funds collected during the Sale will contribute in particular to the development of the association's new premises and outdoor spaces, in order to offer a place of welcome and sharing accessible to as many people as possible.

The beating heart of Burgundy solidarity, this sale is a key moment for the institution, it allows it to support the investments and projects carried out by the hospital. Every year, it brings together lovers of great wines, collectors and professionals from all over the world.

The 65th edition of the Sale will honour the wines of the 2025 vintage, characterised by its balance and elegance. It will take place as tradition dictates on the 2nd Sunday of March at the Château du Clos de Vougeot under the aegis of iDealwine.
