Central Wine Fair 2021

The Central Wine Fair, the annual wine tasting event of the Associations of Vineyard Wine Producers of Attica, Vineyard Wine Producers of Central Greece and Wine and Spirits of Thessaly, returns on Saturday 11 December 2021 at the Intercontinental Hotel, with absolute safety, observing all health protocols to limit the pandemic.

35 winemakers from Attica, Central Greece and Thessaly, are preparing to welcome the public by bringing to the event the wines of the new vintage, rare vinifications, new proposals and established wines. These historic wine-producing regions, which are the "heart" of mainland Greece, have a significant wealth to showcase, with indigenous varieties such as Savatiano, Malagouzia, Limniona, Mouchtaro, Mavrokoundura, Vradiano, but also great wines from international varieties. They promise a "satisfying" tasting experience with some of the best Greek wines.

The primary objective of this year's event is to ensure the health of both visitors and exhibitors. Entry to the exhibition is permitted to wine industry professionals and wine lovers who are at least 18 years of age and have a valid vaccination certificate or certificate of illness. The event will be held in a safe environment in compliance with the health protocols in force for the organisation of events at the time. In addition, all exhibitors, in addition to being fully vaccinated, will undergo a rapid or PCR test on Friday 10 December to further ensure the health of all participants.

Central Wine Fair 2021 will open its doors in two time periods. The first will be between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and the second between 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The cost of admission to the fair is 10€ for both professionals and wine lovers. Each ticket purchased is for admission to only one of the two time periods. The choice of the time period will be made at the time of ticket purchase. The price includes a commemorative tasting glass with the exhibition logo. The visitor will receive an additional bag at the entrance containing an individual paper spittoon, water bottle, tasting notes book, pencil, surgical mask and antiseptic wipe.
