The seminar is aimed at small catering businesses (taverns, all day cafes, beach bars, etc.) that are just starting their journey in the world of wine.
The aim is to help professionals to design a Cretan wine list (from 15 labels). The aim is to create for their business a wine identity, oriented to the wines of our land, as the Cretan Vineyard can cover with its wide range of choices completely a list of a restaurant as long as it is designed in the right way.
The seminar will discuss:
How to create a Cretan wine list (with at least 15 labels).
What to look out for.
What factors to consider when designing the list.
What styles of wines we choose for the list.
How do we write our list correctly.
At the end, Yro Koliakoudaki answers your questions.

Foodservice business owners who are just starting to make a wine list.

The conference organised by the Wines of Crete Network aims, on the one hand, to highlight the importance and the multifaceted benefits of Wine Tourism for wineries and destinations and, on the other hand, to create a network of dialogue with both private and public bodies on the island, which will lay the foundations for the planning of future common directions. In particular, the workshop is structured around the following questions:
What is the current state of wine tourism in Greece and internationally? What is the current state of development in Crete?
What is the contribution of the Wine Producers Network to date and what are the next objectives?
What is the experience of the involvement of winemakers in hospitality services? How can the exchange of good practices be enhanced?
What is the role of other partners in the value chain and how can the active involvement of all stakeholders be ensured?
What are the critical factors for the day ahead?
Places are limited and will be on a first come first served basis.
