The Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) is pleased to announce Valeria Gamper from Argentina is the winner of the ASI Best Sommelier of the Americas 2022, held this week in Santiago, Chile.  Valeria’s victory came after a spirited competition also featuring Hugo Duchesne (runner-up) from Canada and Martin Bruno (third place) from Argentina. The announcement was made on stage at the event held this afternoon in Santiago and broadcast live to the world via ASI’s Youtube page.
 
As the new ASI Best Sommelier of the Americas,  Valeria has automatically qualified, as one of three continental contest winners, for the ASI Best Sommelier of the World contest to be held in Paris, France in 2023. ASI would like to congratulate Valeria, the finalists and all the candidates for their dedication to the sommelier profession.
