Running, running, running

After a beautiful 2021 edition under the autumn sun, the Marathon des Grands Crus is back in early October 2022 for a new adventure full of promise. For the second year, the running events will all be official and timed. New year, new distance, with on the menu a 10 km from the Château de Marsannay which should delight the followers of shorter distances.

Stage of the World Cup, a must for the world of rollerblading

The Marathon des Grands Crus has become a great event for the skating world. The rather physical course, in the privileged wine setting attracts the greatest champions. The race is always of a very high level and gives rise to an impressive show especially during the finish sprint on the Allées. To feast on this choreography, you will have to be present around 3:30 pm at the finish line. The elite men and women will start a few seconds before a dense peloton of amateurs, on this circuit so popular with skaters.

Varied races for all tastes

An exceptional circuit with a unique heritage: it is one of the elements that makes the success of the Marathon des Grands Crus with sporting and festive events open to all, competitors and amateurs of all levels.

Three running distances are proposed: 10 km, 21 km, 42 km.

For rollerblading: 21 km and 42 km.

Individual ranking and challenge of companies.

Small modification for this new edition, the races of 10 and 21 km will start from the villages to arrive on the Allées du Parc. A good opportunity for fans to vibrate to the rhythm of their foals, to share the last meters of the race and to live the emotion of the finish under the famous big pink arch.

Shuttles are planned by the organization to transport runners to the starting areas, with the possibility of accommodating people with reduced mobility on each discipline and each distance.

On the Route des Grands Crus

Competitors will take the famous Route des Grands Crus, which is completely closed to traffic for the occasion. The tourist route passes through the most beautiful villages and the largest appellations with enchanting names such as Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-St-Denis or Gevrey-Chambertin.

These vineyard plots, whose vine leaves are adorned with gold in autumn, are classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. An atmosphere and unique landscapes for an exceptional oenological journey in perspective!

A unique atmosphere

The event mixes performance and conviviality. Everyone comes with their goals and their state of mind in sportswear or in their most original costume. On the program: sport, sharing, good humor and hospitality.

The different villages will enjoy tasting during the refreshments a multitude of local culinary specialties (yum!) or to offer entertainment (nice!) throughout the course. Be careful, alcohol abuse can affect performance (laughs).

The ephemeral village, in the rural setting of the Allées du Parc, will welcome competitors and spectators on Saturday afternoon and all day sunday: exhibitors, animations, demonstrations, guinguettes, podiums and awards ceremonies...

To the delight of the kids!

Many activities will be at the rendezvous for children on the departure village: games, quizzes, inflatable structures, rollerblading initiations, courses ... They will also be able to admire, stars in their eyes, great champions during the demonstrations organized for the occasion!

And of course, to do as the grown-ups, running and rollerblading races will be reserved for them on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. On your marks, ready...
