Sparkling and sweet wines from Greece and abroad, as well as award-winning sparkling and sweet wines of the world's vineyards at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, await wine lovers to taste them on Sunday, December 11, at the Athens Music Conservatory's Foyer of Arts Hall.
For the second year, just before the Christmas holidays, the wine tasting event will be held for the two top wine categories that ideally define the beginning and end of a dinner: the pre-dessert and dessert wines. Greek wineries and wine importing companies will bring dozens of sparkling and sweet wines from Greek and foreign vineyards for tasting, among which are great and particularly beloved wines, ideal for the holiday table, but also for all year round.
Champagnes, prosecco and Greek sparkling wines will be next to iconic sweet Greek wines such as Vinsanto, Mavrodaphne and the great sweet Muscat wines of our islands. Visitors will also have the rare opportunity to taste bottlings of international vineyards from renowned wine regions such as Port, Tokaji, Madeira and Sauternes.

Also available for tasting will be Greek and foreign sparkling and sweet wines that have recently excelled at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, in the presence of the president of the competition, Baudouin Havaux, who will talk in detail about the Greek successes during a round table discussion.
Parallel events and masterclasses will accompany "Afros & Nectar".
The event is divided into two reception periods from 11:30 to 15:30 for the first and 16:00 to 20:00 for the second. Ticket availability is limited to 300 visitors in each period.
Admission for each period, depending on the visitor's choice, costs €12 and can be secured by pre-purchase at viva.gr or by purchasing directly at the event for €15 subject to availability. (including the exhibition catalogue and a souvenir tasting glass).
