The 39th Chablis Wine Competition Awards 19 Medals
The 39th Chablis Wine Competition, presided over by Marie Wodecki, awarded 19 medals in this year's event. The competition, organized by the Chablis Office and the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB), saw participation from 292 wines evaluated by 72 jury members.
Jury and Competition Process
The competition featured notable figures including Gérard Margeon (Alain Ducasse Group), Toshio Matsuura (Japanese journalist), and Jean-Luc Jamrozik (President of the Paris Sommelier Association).
Wines were judged in two stages: an initial round by all tasters and a final selection by the Super Jury, which was the only panel authorized to award medals.
Jury members included journalists, restaurateurs, sommeliers, brokers, oenologists, winegrowers, and wine enthusiasts.
