At one of the most historical regions of Serres prefecture, the village Emmanouel Pappas, started the «Kyathos Winery» its own, special course in the fascinating world of Wine. With the regional, unique microclimate and the sandy soil as well, as their allies, they are growing grapes of the highest quality that are bringing out an exceptional result through the winemaking, maturing, ageing and bottling stages of their wines.

The name of the winery comes from the name of an ancient clay vessel, the kyathos (or arytaina or anvil). The kyathos was a cup-shaped ladle with a foot and a tall handle. It was used as a vessel for drawing wine from jars or as a drinking vessel.

Since 2006, when the «Kyathos Winery» was founded, year after year they are creating after the latest winemaking methods such as, crushing machines, pneumatic press, stainless tanks for the pre-fermentation maceration of white wines, stainless steel fermentation and stabilization tanks with controlled cooling system and oak barrels for the aging of red wines.
